Embracing new technology proves a big hit back to many people. Before any technology is introduced to people, it is advisable to insight them of its capability and the effects it will have on them. In this proposal invention and working of screen less display is explained. This emerging technology leaves many in doubt if it is possible to have screen less displays. To answer this, a research was carried out to prove that screen less displays can be invented and are actually in use in some places.

Background information

Since this emerging technology will be advancement of already existing touch screen technology, secondary research reports were used to compile it and come up with the proposal. The screen less display intends to make lives more comfortable and resolve problems associated with liquid crystal display screens problems such as breakages. This display comes with the idea of displaying information without the use of projectors or television screen. The technology aims at displaying information directly to human retina, open air space or into human brain. Launch of this technology started in year 2013 by implementation of technologies such as virtual reality head set, retinal displays and holographic videos. Generally screen less display comes in three types’ retinal display, visual image and synaptic display (Miller, M. 2013)

Problem statement

Use of touch screen is at present considered the top most technology in computer world. Technology researchers believe that with time they will introduce higher technology that will require no display for the user to view his or her work progress


There is no bias in data collection


To investigate and come up with concrete information about future emerge of screen less displays

The review of the literature

According to Morgan, (2010) visual image displays technology involves images by which the eye can detect. Examples of visual image is the hologram (a technique that enables three dimensional images to be made), head up displays and virtual reality goggle among others. This type of display comprises of projector, combiner and a computer. Main advantage of this type of display is that it creates and manipulates the image up to any size (In Deng, In Lin, & In Ngan, 2015).

Second type of screen less display is the retina display where the image is projected directly in to the retina (Napier, Kumar, 2012 ,Main advantage of this display is its security in that no one will able to view information the user is working on (Castro, & Hyslop, 2014). Last type of screen less display is synaptic Distinguishing aspect of this technology is that it interacts directly with the brain unlike the other two displays. Other names used to refer to this technology are such as synthetic telepathy machine, human interphase machine, mind machine interphase and direct neural interphase (Woodin, & Maffei, 2010).

Research outline

For research work to be a success, in formation respondents or where that particular information pertaining the research subject must be chosen carefully, in this context information related to screen less technology invention will be gathered, analysed and interpreted to provide me with actual prove to recommend that it is possible for screen less display to emerge. To full fill this below steps were followed,

All data in this investigation will be collected using primary method. It’s being cheap makes it very appropriate method .in addition to that this technology is new thus possibility of data using secondary method is ruled out.

Expected research data will be from different people thus for concrete summary to be made, data from different sources will be compared and merged.


Data being dealt with in this research is based on what people say and their activities as they try to invent this screen less, qualitative research methodology was practised


Results that will enable me compile a report about future emerge of screen less display. The report will also serve a future reference in case a similar report needs to be written. Also through report people will have an over view of how the intended screen less display will work


Valid conclusion will be made based on the results. It is expected that after this research a clear understanding of screen less display technology will be achieved
